Suburban Sustainability

804 Carnegie Center, designed by Jacobs, is a state-of-the-art, LEED Platinum-certified office building that serves as the eastern headquarters for NRG Energy.

This three-story, 130,000 square foot facility in Princeton, NJ, stands as a beacon of modern workplace design. It focuses on using sustainability to enhance occupant well-being and employee performance.

The headquarters is equipped with cutting-edge features like a rooftop photovoltaic array and a green roof. It showcases both NRG and BPX’s deep commitment to clean energy while simultaneously creating a dynamic and inspiring work environment.

The incorporation of sustainable technologies such as abundant natural lighting, advanced mechanical systems, and energy-efficient materials contributes to a healthy and more productive atmosphere. These thoughtful design choices complement the building’s striking curtainwall system that helps the building reach its environmental benchmark. It utilizes zinc metal panels and high-performance glass units to ensure both energy efficiency and visual appeal. By focusing on these critical elements, 804 Carnegie Center elevates the experience of its occupants by offering a workspace that meets the highest environmental standards. In doing so, it sets a new benchmark for the future of corporate headquarters.
